Interior Ministry records over 1,000 crimes in week
The Interior Ministry has recorded over 1292 crimes committed in the capital’s Sana’a and other provinces during the 2nd week of December 2020.
An official statistics issued by the Ministry, the recorded crimes included 1217 serious crimes took place during 8th – 16th December. Almost 96% perpetrators of the crimes were arrested.
According to the statistics, the recorded crimes included 19 homicides crimes occurred in 10 provinces, whose perpetrators were all arrested. The crimes also included 143 attempted murders, 79 robberies committed by 103 criminals, all were arrested.
In the field of drug control, the Interior Ministry said that 468 kilograms of hashish were seized in the 2nd week of December, and 68 suspects of drug trafficking are under arrest.
The security men managed to arrest 65 of the US-Saudi-led mercenaries and 497 wanted for several crimes were jailed.
The police of Bayda province found 15 improvised explosive device (IEDs), all of them were defused.
For economic crimes, the police have seized 21,874,000 YR of circulated-banned currency note, printed by the aggression to hurt the national economy.
