The YPC organizes a protest in front of the United Nations office in Sana’a
The employees of the Yemen Petroleum Company, its unions and their affiliated organizations continue to demand the release of oil ships. In the 72nd Friday protest, entitled “The UN Envoy: Hears, Sees, Does Not Speak”, employees of the Yemen Petroleum Company, announced their open protest until all oil tankers are released.
Their statement renewed a call to the United Nations to carry out its humanitarian duty and pressure the countries of the coalition to free the tankers. The protestors denounced performance of the UN envoy to Yemen, and his clear bias towards the party participating in the siege, killing of the Yemeni people.
The statement renewed the call to all the free countries of the world to stand by the Yemeni people and their grievances, demand a stop to the unjust war on Yemen and the release of all detained oil ships. It also called for opening Yemen’s sea and air ports to the movement of goods and freedom of travel.
It is noteworthy that the US-Saudi aggression continue to detain ten oil ships loaded with 300 thousand tons of fuel, despite obtaining UN required permits.
