Governor of Taiz, Mufti of the province discuss ways to confront misleading ideas

The Governor of Taiz, Salim Mohammed Al-Mughalis, met, on Saturday, the Grand Mufti of the governorate, Al-Alamah Alawi bin Sahl bin Aqeel, and a number of scholars.

The meeting discussed the situation in the province, and issues related to the efforts of scholars towards raising societal awareness of the dangers of the enemies targeting the faith identity by strengthening the advocacy and guidance discourse in this aspect.

The meeting dealt with ways to ensure the role of scholars, preachers, and guides in confronting misleading and extremist ideas and combating intrusive ideas in Yemeni society.

The governor praised the role of scholars in confronting aggression, strengthening community cohesion, and countering destructive ideas that offend the essence of the true Islamic religion.
