National Center of Meteorology warns of torrential torrents and low horizontal visibility due to rain
The National Center of Meteorology (NMC) expected the continuation of rain of varying intensity in separate parts of the mountainous heights during the next 24 hours.
The center indicated that rain of varying intensity and accompanied by thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon and evening periods on separate parts of the mountain heights from Lahj and Taiz in the south until it ascended to the north and on the western heights opposite the Tihama plain, which may include parts Scattered from Tihama Plain.
The center alerted vehicle drivers on the roads and mountain slopes of the low horizontal visibility due to rain and low clouds, as well as rockslides and mudslides during and after the rains.
The center pointed out that daytime temperatures remain high in the desert areas and the interior plateaus of the governorates (Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Marib and Al-Jawf), in which temperatures range between (32 – 38) degrees Celsius.
The National Center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to take precautions and beware of the flow of torrents in the reefs and valleys during and after the rains, and to take the necessary precautions from thunderstorms.
