Employees of Oil Company organize protest to condemn detention of fuel ships
Quoted from the official Saba News Agency that the workers and employees of the Yemeni Oil Company (YOC) branch in Hodeida province have organized a protest in front of the United Nations office to denounce the continued piracy, the detention of oil derivative ships and preventing their entry to the port of Hodeida.
They raised banners condemning the continued siege of the Yemeni people and preventing the entry of oil derivative ships despite having UN permits.
In a statement, they condemned the arbitrary practices of the aggression countries in detaining oil ships and the continued piracy and its catastrophic repercussions on the Yemeni people.
The statement condemned the United Nations’ negligent position regarding the detention of fuel ships, which reached five ships carrying 128,035 tons of gasoline and diesel.
It called on the United Nations to play its role to release the detained oil ships and to ensure that they are not detained in the future, and to neutralize the oil company and its facilities from the systematic targeting by the aggression forces and to lift the ban on the ports of Hodeida.
The statement appealed to international organizations and the international community to put pressure on the aggression countries so as to stop the acts of maritime piracy in the Red Sea.
