New York Times: US Bases in Iraq Subjected to 3 Drone Attacks
The New York Times revealed that military bases of US forces and members of the Central Intelligence Agency were subjected to three attacks during the past two months by drones in Iraq.
The newspaper said on Friday: The United States is increasingly concerned about the escalation of attacks by small drones on its sites in Iraq.
The newspaper quoted US officials that armed groups opposed to Washington launched, during the past two months, at least three attacks with drones on military bases used by the United States to carry out special operations.
The newspaper, quoting three officials, said that the first attack targeted before midnight on the 13th on the 14th of April a hangar belonging to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) at Erbil airport.
