The Red Sea Ports Corporation confirms the readiness of Hodeidah port to receive ships with privileges and facilities

The Red Sea Ports Corporation confirmed the readiness of Hodeidah port to receive container ships with all concessions and facilities granted to importers.

In a statement on the 6th anniversary of targeting Hodeidah port, the Corporation said that the list of fees, wages, services and facilities of the Corporation is lower in terms of price among all Yemeni ports.

It explained that the tariff of container handling fees and charges in the port of Hodeidah is lower than the port of Aden in the fees of cranes by 34% for a 20-foot container and 31% for a 40-foot container.

It pointed out that container ships that have cranes for handling containers have a special tariff for a 40% reduction in the fees of the cranes. The fees for storing containers in the port of Hodeidah are less than those in other Yemeni ports.

It also confirmed that the aggression’s persistence in seizing oil tankers for more than a year led to a deterioration in the level of services and the necessities of life in various governorates.

It added that the detention of the ships comes in light of international silence, blatant complicity, and a violation of international laws and the Sweden Agreement, which stipulates the necessity of the flow of food, relief and oil derivatives through the port of Hodeidah.

The Red Sea Ports Corporation held the United Nations, its envoys, and relevant organizations fully legal and morally responsible for what civilians are exposed to and their failure to act urgently to stop the piracy of food, relief and oil derivatives ships.
