France Does Not Stop Talking about American Betrayal of Its Allies
The French Minister of Armed Forces Florence Parly regretted what she described as the “extremely violent” behavior of the United States of America, considering that this stage proves that American reliability is no longer as great as it used to be.
Parly said in an interview with Le Monde that she welcomes the resumption of dialogue but regrets the extremely violent behavior of US, adding: “It is not a surprise, it has already been several years in which we have observed this fundamental trend on the part of the American partner.”
She indicated that this stage proves that the American reliability is no longer as great as it was in the past, so Europe must go beyond the borders of the European Union.
She also stressed that Europe has a unique opportunity to assert itself as a strategic power and we have a choice either that Europe confronts this or disappears.
Le Figaro quoted statements by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on the sidelines of UN General Assembly, in which he said: “The US realizes that reconciliation with France after the submarine crisis will take time and will require action by Washington we are aware that this will take time and it will lead not only to statements but also to actions.”
Paris accuses Australia and Britain of cheating on the submarine deal with the French Rafale, which has been replaced by contracts to buy American submarines.
