The local authority in Al-Bayda denounces the allegations of the aggression about Al-Sawadiya customs

The local authority in al-Bayda governorate denounced the allegations of the countries of the US-Saudi aggression regarding the creation of a new customs center in the Al-Sawadiya district affiliated to the Afar Customs Center in the Al-Malajim district of the governorate and using it for military purposes.

The local authority confirmed in a statement that the customs yard in Al-Sawadiya is an old yard belonging to the Afar Customs Center, which was established to facilitate customs procedures and reduce overcrowding in the main center.

It pointed out that its establishment was in coordination with the concerned authorities in the Presidency of the Authority, in addition to informing the United Nations Office of its services.

The statement condemned the aggression coalition deliberately bombing public and private facilities with various pretexts and justifications, and its recent threats to target the customs yard in Al-Sawadiya district.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and its other regional allies, launched a devastating war on Yemen in March 2015.

The seven years and half of war have killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure.

Yemeni people are facing malnutrition, hunger, and famine, which have increased risks of disease and starvation.
