Insan Org. condemns the Saudi regime crime against the Yemeni expatriate Ali Atef Al-Ali
A human rights organization said on Monday that it had received a report from the family of Ali Atef Al-Ali, from Yemen’s Al-Mahwit and a resident of Saudi Arabia, confirming that he was killed by members of the state security apparatus in Riyadh.
Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms indicated in a statement that the murder of the Al-Ali took place after he was kidnapped from near his workplace and tortured by beating and then suffocation.
It noted that Al-Ali told his family that he had received threats, before communication with him was cut off on the 9th of September, and his body later appeared at Al-Manar Police Station in Riyadh.
The rights group pointed out that the Saudi authorities threatened some relatives of Al-Ali with imprisonment if they continued their demands to conduct a criminal autopsy of the body or obtain a security report on the incident.
It stressed that what Al-Ali was subjected to is a heinous and horrific crime that reflects the brutal behavior of the Saudi regime and a clear violation of all laws.
The human rights organization called for extensive investigations of Saudi crimes against expatriates, to put an end to them, and to punish the perpetrators in accordance with international laws and covenants.
