Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein Al-Ezzi called on the World Bank to respect its stated goals and to distance itself from supporting the corrupt who are hostile to the Yemeni people, warning the World Bank against pumping any sums to any branch of the Central Bank in our occupied lands.

The Deputy Foreign Minister confirmed in a statement, Saturday evening, that any supply of money from the World Bank to the branches of the Central Bank in the occupied areas is an open involvement in financing the rebel mercenaries appointed from the countries of aggression.

He said: “The World Bank must realize that we will deal with any action of this kind as a hostile act and participation in tampering with the rights of Yemen and financing an ongoing aggression against our people,” stressing that this step from the World Bank will expose it to legal accountability.

He pointed out the determination of the official authorities, by all means, to compel the World Bank to pay fair compensation as a legal right to Sanaa, the capital of the Republic of Yemen.
