HR ministry demands on pressuring the Saudi regime to prevent further crimes
The Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights condemned—in the strongest terms—the continuation of the Saudi army and border guards in committing crimes against civilians and African migrants in the bordering areas, the latest of which the killing and wounding of 11 people in total.
In a statement, the ministry was surprised by the continued silence of the international community and international bodies and organizations, led by the United Nations, regarding the crimes committed by the Saudi regime.
“We remind the world, with all its humanitarian bodies, that the victims of the Saudi attacks, since the beginning of the armistice, have reached 2,258, including 285 killed civilians in the bordering districts of Saada, and the death toll is still escalating, and artillery shells and machine guns are still raining down on the heads of civilians and immigrants, noting that severe forms of torture and abuse are being practiced against them,” the Ministry of Human Rights stated.
The ministry also launched a humanitarian appeal, calling on the free world, and human rights and humanitarian organizations, to put pressure on the Saudi regime to prevent the perpetration of more genocide crimes against Yemeni citizens and African immigrants in bordering areas.
In addition, the ministry noted that the humanitarian organizations should take action and move in accordance with its humanitarian principles to condemn these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable.
The Ministry of Human Rights also renewed the call to the competent bodies and all humanitarian and international organizations to review the crimes committed by the Saudi regime in the bordering areas, and the killing and torture of citizens and the displaced in light of the high death toll and the scarcity of health capabilities… pointing to the importance of the organizations operating in Yemen in providing the necessary resources to treat the wounded
