Israel, US Struggle to Decipher the Intentions of Hezbollah’s Leader
Israeli media confirmed that Israel and the United States are facing difficulty in “deciphering the intentions of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.”
Israeli journalist Yoni Ben Menachem said that “since the beginning of the war in the south, Nasrallah has remained silent and waged a war of attrition against Israel on the northern border.”
He added that “Israel must prepare for the worst-case scenario, where it will have to fight on two fronts at the same time.”
On Sunday, member of the Alwafaa to the Resistance bloc in the Lebanese parliament, MP Hassan Fadlallah, revealed to Al Mayadeen that “Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Nasrallah is closely following the developments of the confrontation,” stressing that “he oversees it and manages it through his direct contact with the resistance field commanders, and he is the leader of this resistance.”
Fadlallah confirmed that “the resistance is at a level of readiness for any possibility and any scenario,” and that “Nasrallah’s lack of media appearances is part of managing the strategically wise and courageous battle,” adding that “when Sayyed Nasrallah realizes that managing the battle requires his appearance, he will do so.”
In this context, Israeli media revealed that the number of occupation soldiers wounded by Hezbollah’s anti-tank missiles fired from southern Lebanon towards them has started to rise. Israel’s Channel 13 saw that “this is something that should be paid attention to.”
The channel’s correspondent in the north spoke about “the firing of anti-tank missiles, in the rear line, at the Ramim hill position” and added, “They are also firing missiles towards the western sector.”
He pointed out that “this development is difficult, and not obvious from the start,” adding that “the Israeli soldiers are currently at the borders, and have not entered Lebanon, and they are being wounded in numbers that I can say have started to become large numbers.”
For its part, the Israeli newspaper Maariv revealed that the evacuation of Israeli settlers from settlements in northern occupied Palestine “is happening at a low level,” saying that settlers in the north “are attacking the Israeli government over the background of the evacuation.”
Meanwhile, “Kiryat Shmona settlement resembles a ghost town, no one is in the streets, and people there are living in hysteria and fear. Those who have been evacuated have found neither bookings nor a place for them in hotels,” according to Israeli media.
On October 20, settlers began evacuating Kiryat Shmona and the Upper Galilee, fearing rockets from Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon.
Kiryat Shmona is located on the western slopes of the Hula Valley in the northern area on the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine. Its location at the northernmost edge of the occupation’s cities near the border between Lebanon and occupied Palestine makes it a constant target for rocket attacks by Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon.
Reports from Israeli media earlier today suggest that the domestic situation in the occupied territories is veering towards disarray and turmoil. This comes as the Palestinian resistance persists in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, leading to significant internal displacement of settlers from both northern and southern regions. The emergency authority is reportedly contemplating accommodating these displaced settlers in public facilities, such as schools, should the hotels reach capacity.
Israeli media outlets confirmed that “Israel” is not prepared for this volume of settler evacuation from the north and south. Israeli media had also said earlier: “What we have seen so far is just a promo for a bad movie if the war in the north expands.”
Earlier, Israeli media acknowledged the killing of an Israeli soldier and the injury of 3 others by Hezbollah’s guided missiles at the borders of occupied Palestine with Lebanon.
