Yemen Vows to Continue Sinking British Ships
In a recent statement, Hussein Al-Azzi, the Deputy Foreign Minister in the caretaker government, confirmed that Yemen will continue to sink more British ships. He added that any repercussions or other damages will be added to Britain’s bill as a rogue state that attacks Yemen and participates with America in sponsoring the ongoing crime against civilians in Gaza.
Al-Azzi added, “Whoever harms Yemen will be harmed,” indicating that the enemy should not expect that it will attack Yemen and then go without repercussions.
On his part, Abdul Malik Al-Ajri, a member of the national negotiating delegation, said, “The one who bears the legal and moral responsibility for any potential marine pollution due to the sinking of the British ship is primarily the United States of America.” He pointed out that just as it is responsible for the war in Gaza and the regional escalation resulting from its repeated obstruction of all war cessation decisions in the Security Council, it is the one that bears the responsibility for militarizing the Red Sea.
Al-Ajri added that the responsibility also falls on the “owning company and the operating company of the ship, which insisted on passing despite knowing the risks involved in its passage and its refusal to respond to the warnings of the Yemeni army.”
These clear and explicit responses carry a clear message to the American-British enemy that its attempts to blackmail Sana’a and the Yemeni people with pollution propaganda and attempts to incite local and international public opinion have no effect on the firm position regarding the continuation of military support for the Gaza Strip and the continuation of the course of response to the attacks against Yemen, including escalation and upcoming surprises. This message reaffirms to the enemy again that all his accounts and estimates about Yemen are all wrong, and it continues to rely on means and methods that only lead to more open escalation on shattering possibilities.
The position of Sana’a clarifies that it is not possible to divert attention from the ongoing genocide crime in all brutality in the Gaza Strip by stirring up environmental pollution propaganda. The situation in the Gaza Strip will remain the focus of the conflict and the ongoing escalation in the region, including the Red Sea, and trying to ignore this fact will lead to more and more escalation.
The sinking of the ship “Rubymar” draws an approximate picture of the ability of the armed forces to go towards harsher options and shattering surprises that the enemy does not expect.
It is worth noting that the “Rubymar” UK-owned bulk carrier was subjected to a severe missile attack on February 18 after ignoring the warnings of the Yemeni Armed Forces, resulting in substantial damage. The ship, crippled by the onslaught, was observed gradually sinking over several days. By last Saturday, it had completely succumbed to its damages and was reported to have sunk entirely.
