On the 164th day of the aggression against Gaza Strip, Israeli enemy forces stormed Shifa Medical Complex at dawn on Monday, and eyewitnesses reported that there were martyrs and wounded by enemy forces’ fire inside the complex located west of Gaza City.
According to local reports, “occupation gunboats fired artillery shells in the vicinity of Shifa complex, amid clashes between the resistance and the occupation forces.”
Eyewitnesses said, “Israeli drones opened fire on anyone moving in Al-Rimal neighborhood in central Gaza City and demanded that residents stay in their homes.”
The Zionist enemy aircraft carried out air strikes on the vicinity of Shifa Medical Complex while the Ministry of Health in Gaza held the Israeli occupation responsible for the lives of the medical staff, patients, and displaced people inside the complex.
The ministry said, “What the occupation forces are doing against the complex is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian laws and the Fourth Geneva Convention,” and added, “The Israeli occupation is still using its fabricated narratives to deceive the world and to justify storming the complex.”
It continued, “The Israeli military attack aims to continue to destroy the health system in northern Gaza,” calling on the international community to reject the practices of the Israeli occupation against the complex and Gaza’s hospitals.
It also called on international institutions to immediately go to the complex to protect it, protect everyone inside it, and prevent renewed Israeli targeting of it.
In turn, the government media office considered the occupation army’s storming of the complex with tanks, drones, and weapons, and shooting inside it, a war crime that confirms the occupation’s deliberate intention to eliminate the health sector and destroy hospitals.
The government Media Office condemned in the strongest terms the Zionist enemy’s “army” storming the complex, considering it a blatant war crime, a violation of international law, a violation of international agreements, and a crime against humanity.
The office held the Israeli enemy, the American administration, and the international community fully responsible for the safety and lives of medical staff, the wounded, the sick, and the displaced among the Palestinian people, calling on international organizations and all countries of the free world to intervene immediately and urgently in order to curb the occupation, stop the war of genocide, and stop its aggression and targeting of the health sector, medical institutions, and hospitals.
It called on them to put pressure on the occupation to stop these organized and planned crimes within the framework of the plan to destroy the health sector.
Local sources said, “Intense Israeli artillery shelling targeted the central and western areas of the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.”
Medical sources reported that 9 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombing of a house in Abu Hujair family, west of Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
