Yemen’s Foreign Ministry Condemns UN Security Council’s Stance on Red Sea Events

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry has expressed its deep dissatisfaction and condemnation of the statement issued by the UN Security Council regarding the events in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. The Ministry views the Security Council’s statement as a reflection of the dangerous extent to which the Council has succumbed to American criminal desires, blindly following the American position that supports brutal massacres and practices of genocide against civilians in Gaza.

The Ministry asserts that the Security Council’s stance violates all laws, morals, and shared human values, and undermines the mission for which the Council was established. The statement clarified that it is shameful that the Security Council has been unable for nearly 200 days to issue a statement condemning the daily massacres committed by the Zionist criminal machine against the children and women of Gaza, and the widespread destruction, continuous siege, and starvation it has caused.

The Ministry pointed out that the Security Council must realize the dangerous and regrettable state it has reached due to the dissolution and melting imposed on it by American dominance. It must also realize that when America pushes it to issue such statements and condemnations, which it releases with ease in the wrong direction and fails to release even once in the right direction, these statements become a repeated declaration of the death certificate of this Council.

The statement emphasized the importance of purifying UN institutions from the Zionist lobby at this time more than ever, as its presence threatens them with extinction and failure and turns them into platforms for its agendas.

The Foreign Ministry reiterated that its position and all that happens in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea are closely and organically linked to the events in Gaza. It is a humanitarian position par excellence and enjoys the support of the Yemeni people and all the peoples of the region and the world.

The Ministry’s statement indicated that our operations will continue and will not stop except in the case of stopping the Zionist criminal aggression on Gaza and lifting the siege. It targets only the Zionist trio of evil, crime, and terrorism, and the Security Council must play its role and restore consideration to itself, even with a line of condemnation for the crimes of America and Israel in Gaza. It must also realize for the thousandth time that the solution does not lie in matching the criminal desire of America, nor in its rush to condemn Sana’a as much as it lies in serious pressure to stop the Israeli aggression, lift the siege, and save the oppressed people in Gaza.

The Ministry affirmed that Sana’a will remain the capital that most expresses the spirit of laws and human values, as well as the most keen on the safety of maritime navigation and support and enhancement of peace and security in Yemen, the region, and the world. It explained that all positions of Sana’a come from this premise and have no other goal, and it is not good to outbid Sana’a on peace issues.
