Governor of Aden: Yemeni unity is meant to endure and will not be held hostage by troublemakers
Aden Governor in Sana’a government Tareq Sallam affirmed on Tuesday that Yemeni unity is the safety valve for Yemenis to navigate towards freedom and independence.
In a statement to Almasirah TV, he explained that efforts by American and British occupation forces and their proxies to impose secession and division among the people will not succeed against the awareness and wisdom of the Yemeni people.
Sallam highlighted that the celebrations of this occasion come amidst significant changes at the local, regional, and international levels, requiring concerted efforts to reunite and strengthen bonds of brotherhood and tolerance.
He pointed out that the suffering experienced by Yemenis in the occupied southern and eastern provinces results from the criminal practices of the occupiers aimed at subjugating Yemenis.
The national day of Yemen is known as Unity Day. It commemorates the unification of North Yemen and South Yemen that took place on May 22, 1990.
