Today, Wednesday, the Yemeni Armed Forces officially revealed that they possess hypersonic missile technology.

The official spokesman for the armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said in his post on the “X” platform:

The Yemeni armed forces reveal for the first time the identity of the missile that targeted the Israeli ship (MSC SARAH V) in the Arabian Sea.

It is a locally made hypersonic missile that possesses advanced technology and is accurate in hitting and reaches to far distances.”

Brigadier General Saree added: “The scenes of the launch, along with the rest of the details, will be distributed via the military media later, God willing.”

Missile specifications:
– Speed: hypersonic.
– Fuel type: solid.
– Control system: intelligent.

– Possesses advanced technology and accurate shooting.
-It is characterized by its ability to maneuver.
– It has several generations with different ranges.
– Made in Yemen MIC.

Yesterday, the Armed Forces announced that they were able to target the Israeli ship (MSC SARAH V) in the Arabian Sea, and the hit was accurate and direct, explaining that the qualitative operation was carried out with a new ballistic missile that entered service after the successful completion of trial operations, adding that the missile is distinguished by the ability to hit targets precisely and over long distances.

Commenting on the specific operation of the new Yemeni missile, Reuters reported yesterday from a memorandum from the Joint Maritime Information Center for the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden that it was likely that the attack on the ship “MSC SARAH V” was carried out with a missile at a distance of 450 km, equivalent to 246 nautical miles south of East of Nishtun, and it came because of its connection to “Israel.”

The Associated Press reported that a commercial ship was attacked today from Yemen, in an area considered farthest from any previous attack recorded near the outer course of the Gulf of Aden.

It is worth noting that the armed forces revealed on June 3 that they possess a locally made ballistic missile, “Palestine Ballistic Missile.”

They did not reveal its specifications and contented themselves with publishing scenes of the launch of the missile at an Israeli military target in Umm al-Rashrash in occupied Palestine.

On June 21, the military media also distributed scenes showing for the first time the homemade Tufan 1 drone boat that targeted the ship TUTOR in the Red Sea on June 12 and led to its sinking.

The Tufan 1 boat is an attack drone and carries a 150 kg warhead.

It is characterized by its small size, high speed, and superior ability to hide from enemy devices.

Its speed is 35 nautical miles per hour. It is used to target nearby fixed and mobile naval targets and is considered part of the weapons defending the Yemeni coasts and islands.
