Video: Army Unveils “Tufan Al-Mudamer” Unmanned Boat with Advanced Destructive Capabilities
The Yemeni Armed Forces have officially unveiled the “Tufan Al-Mudamer (Tufan Destroyer),” a drone boat distinguished by its high destructive power and advanced technology. This unveiling marks the fourth significant military reveal in June, following the introduction of the “Falasteen(Palestine)” ballistic missile, the “Tufan1” unmanned boat, and the “Hatem2” hypersonic ballistic missile.
The “Tufan Al-Mudamer” is a locally manufactured attack unmanned boat featuring an impressive destructive capability, equipped with a warhead weighing between 1000 to 1500 kg. The vessel boasts advanced technology, offering both manual and remote control options. With a top speed of 45 knots, the boat is designed to operate effectively in all maritime conditions.
The military media showcased footage of the “Tufan Al-Mudamer” in action, targeting the vessel “Transworld Navigator” in the Red Sea last week. Additionally, on June 21, the military media released footage of the “Tufan” unmanned boat targeting and sinking the ship “TUTOR” in the Red Sea on June 12. The “Tufan” is a smaller, high-speed attack drone boat carrying a 150 kg warhead, renowned for its stealth capabilities and ability to evade enemy detection systems. It can reach speeds of up to 35 knots and is designed to target both stationary and moving maritime targets, playing a crucial role in the defense of Yemen’s coasts and islands.
Furthermore, on June 26, the Yemeni Armed Forces officially disclosed their possession of hypersonic missile technology. The official spokesperson for the armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced on the “X” platform that the Yemeni military has, for the first time, revealed the identity of the missile that targeted the Israeli ship “MSC SARAH V” in the Arabian Sea. This locally-manufactured hypersonic missile is equipped with advanced technology, precise targeting capabilities, and is capable of reaching long distances.
The specifications of the missile include hypersonic speed, solid fuel, intelligent control systems, advanced technology, high precision, maneuverability, and various generations with different ranges. It is produced by the Yemeni Military Manufacturing Authority.
