369 Palestinian prisoners released, including 26 sentenced to life imprisonment

The “Israeli” enemy authorities released 369 Palestinian prisoners from their prisons today, Saturday, as part of the sixth batch of “Al-Aqsa Flood” prisoner exchange deal.
After Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, handed over 3 Israeli prisoners, 36 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and 333 prisoners from Gaza Strip who were arrested after October 7, 2023, were released.
The director of the Palestine Center for Prisoners’ Studies, Riyad Al-Ashqar, revealed the details of the Palestinian prisoners who were released today, Saturday, as part of the sixth batch of the exchange deal.
Al-Ashqar explained that (35) deans of prisoners were released today as part of the sixth batch of the first phase of the “Flood of the Free” deal, in addition to 333 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were arrested after October 7, 2023, as part of the exchange deal.
After completing the sixth batch, the number of deans of prisoners who were released rises to (235) prisoners, all of whom spent more than 20 years in enemy prisons, most of whom are serving life sentences.
He explained that the deans of prisoners who were released today were serving life sentences, and the least of them had spent 20 consecutive years.
He explained that the oldest of the released prisoners is “Rasem Farid Hussein” from Tulkarm, who has been detained since November 2001, where he spent 24 years in captivity and was serving a life sentence.
Also, among the released prisoners is prisoner Mansour Muhammad Muqaddah from Salfit, who was shot with four bullets when he was arrested in 2002, which caused partial paralysis.
The freed prisoners also include three brothers, deans of prisoners from Deheishe Camp: Musa, Khalil and Ibrahim Ahmed Sarahneh, who have been detained since 2002 and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Before the deal was completed, the number of deans of prisoners in the enemy’s prisons was (543) prisoners, and after the release of (235) of them, (308) prisoners remain.
It is expected that another number of these prisoners will be released in the next batches or stages of the deal, which will continue for several months.
