Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Israeli Strikes on Syria, Calls for International Action

The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the ongoing Zionist aggression against Syria, including the recent attack on a residential building in the Mazzeh neighborhood of Damascus.

This assault resulted in the martyrdom of Yemeni citizen Dr. Shawqi Al-Aoudi, his wife, three daughters, and several Syrian civilians.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Wahid Al-Shami, denounced the Zionist aggression as a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and international law, including international humanitarian law—particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, which concerns the protection of civilians.

He described the attack as a continuation of the genocide crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Palestine, Lebanon, and other parts of the region. Al-Shami called on the international community to take a firm stand in condemning this aggression and to take serious action to compel the Zionist entity to cease its attacks on the countries and peoples of the region, which destabilize security and threaten international peace.

The spokesperson reaffirmed Yemen’s solidarity with the Syria, supporting Syria’s right to self-defense and to respond to this blatant aggression.
