Massive Rallies in Yemen: ‘Steadfast with Gaza’

Millions of Yemenis gathered Friday, in massive demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinian people under the slogan: “Steadfast with Gaza, Tirelessly and Resolutely.”

In the 60th consecutive weekly march since October 7, 2023, crowds from various districts of the capital, Sana’a, and surrounding areas flocked to the largest square in the city. Responding to the call of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, participants reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Palestinian people until victory is achieved.

Massive demonstrations also took place in over 532 locations across the capital, Sana’a, and 14 other provinces to stand with the Palestinian people enduring over 60 weeks of genocidal war.

Protesters carried Yemeni, Palestinian, and Lebanese flags, banners of freedom and resistance, and placards denouncing American and Zionist crimes. They expressed their solidarity with Palestine, reaffirming it as the central cause of the Yemeni people, and burned American and Zionist flags during the marches.

The concluding statement of the marches emphasized that the Zionist Jews are the primary enemy, as identified in the Quran. It condemned their brutal crimes in Gaza, desecration of holy sites, and burning of the Quran, asserting that neither America nor Israel will dictate whom Yemen considers as friends or foes.

The statement hailed the resilience and steadfastness of Palestinian fighters in their 14th month of struggle. It praised their strategic military operations, precise missile strikes, and ambushes that have thwarted the enemy’s plans to eradicate them and the Palestinian people.

Responding to recent threats from U.S. President-elect Trump against Palestinian resistance, the participants declared: “We and all the fighters of our nation do not fear America’s threats or its so-called wrath.”

The statement also celebrated a show of unity by recent operations by Yemeni Armed Forces and the Iraqi Islamic resistance, which targeted the heart of the Zionist entity.

The statement urged the Arab and Islamic nations to be wary of American schemes aimed at dividing the region and diverting Muslims into secondary conflicts.

It condemned the genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinians in Gaza over 427 days, with the support of America and some Western countries. These crimes, which have left over 180,000 dead, injured, missing, or imprisoned, continue in the face of global silence and disgraceful Arab and Islamic inaction.

The statement called on Arab and Islamic nations to fulfill their moral, religious, and humanitarian duties toward Gaza, emphasizing that this obligation does not fade over time or with distractions.

It also expressed regret over the disgraceful positions of some Arab and Islamic regimes that have become enablers of the Zionist enemy, while Palestinians in Gaza suffer from deadly hunger due to the criminal blockade.
