Yemeni People: Standing Firm with Gaza, Defying American Escalation
In a powerful response to U.S. escalation against Yemen and the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza, the Yemeni people have mobilized across all fronts. Militarily, they have enforced a blockade on Israeli shipping and resumed missile and drone attacks on Israeli territory. On the popular level, millions took to the streets of the capital, Sana’a, and other provinces on Monday to reaffirm their unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian cause. The massive demonstration in Al-Sabeen Square, Sana’a, was a striking display of the Yemeni people’s steadfast will and determination to confront aggression and global arrogance, regardless of the challenges.
In this report, we highlight the views of cultural leaders, activists, media figures, and citizens who participated in this historic demonstration. They collectively affirmed that this massive turnout is a strong message of Yemeni solidarity, emphasizing their commitment to the path of the revolution’s leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi, and their steadfast adherence to the path of jihad in defense of the nation’s causes, regardless of the difficulties ahead.
A Steadfast Position in Support of Arab and Islamic Causes
During this grand demonstration, Yemenis reaffirmed their unwavering support for Arab and Islamic causes, sending a resolute message to the world that the Yemeni people stand firmly with their Palestinian brothers and are prepared to confront any threat or aggression with steadfastness and courage. The First Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Muftah, stated,
“This historic march by the Yemeni people, in support of the Yemeni armed forces and in solidarity with the Palestinian people, is reminiscent of the Day of Criterion, when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, along with the Muslims, stood against the tyrants of Quraysh. They declared: ‘We will reach Badr, encamp there, slaughter and feast, play music, and let the Arabs hear of our march so they will forever fear us.’”
“Today, Trump repeats the same rhetoric, coming to attack Yemen, to violate our seas and land, and to commit heinous crimes for the world to witness, hoping they will fear him. But we say to him: You will return in defeat, disgrace, and humiliation, and Yemen will teach you a lesson, by Allah’s will.”
Sheikh Muftah also extended his greetings, love, and appreciation to the steadfast Yemeni people for their honorable stance, emphasizing that this remarkable demonstration is recorded by Allah, by history, and by the nations of the world. “It is a great and honorable stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in backing our armed forces’ measures against American tyranny amidst the disgraceful silence of the Arab world,” he added.
He concluded, saying, “The silence of regimes, elites, and people should have been replaced with a stance as honorable as that of the Yemeni people.”
The Voice of Yemeni Consciousness: A Religious and Humanitarian Commitment
Regarding the significance of this demonstration, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Sa’adi stated,
“This demonstration aligns with Yemen’s well-known position from the beginning—a religious, faith-based, and humanitarian stance. There is nothing new here. The Yemeni revolutionary and political leadership initially paused its operations based on the agreement regarding Gaza. However, as the saying goes, ‘If they return, we shall return.’ And return they did, with unparalleled arrogance, brutality, and oppression, subjecting an entire population of over two million Palestinians in Gaza to starvation and relentless attacks. They even extended their aggression to nations supporting Palestine, including Yemen. Thus, this response is the natural stance that should be upheld by the entire Islamic and Arab world.”
Al-Sa’adi emphasized the necessity of unity in facing aggression, stating,
“This stance is entirely in line with Yemen’s national and faith-based path and responds to the directives of Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi, who has called upon the Yemeni people to uphold jihad and support just causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, since the dawn of the prophetic mission. By coming out in such great numbers, the Yemeni people reaffirm their commitment to the rightful path laid out by the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi, may Allah protect him, regardless of the challenges.”
Al-Sa’adi also noted the symbolic significance of this demonstration coinciding with the anniversary of the Battle of Badr, calling it a “divine blessing” and a pivotal moment in Islamic history that uplifted Muslim morale and confirmed the future success of Islam.
“The Battle of Badr marked a turning point for Arabs, Muslims, and the world at large. Today, we continue on that same path with the same spirit carried by our ancestors who responded to the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, and played a role in transforming history. And we, the Yemenis of today, by the will of Allah, are making a similar impact on the history of the Ummah.”
He underscored Yemen’s historical commitment to the Jihad path in supporting Palestine, adding that this demonstration is a testament to the unity of the Islamic and Arab front against aggression.
The Sacred Path of Jihad and the Promise of Victory
Cultural and media activist Abdul-Quddus Al-Shahari emphasized that Monday’s mass demonstration was a direct response to American aggression, particularly the recent wave of U.S. airstrikes that targeted Yemen with 47 attacks, killing and injuring over 60 people, most of them women and children.
“The Yemeni people took to the streets today to reaffirm their steadfastness in supporting Gaza and the causes of the Ummah, declaring their full backing of Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi’s demands for humanitarian aid to be allowed into Palestine, the lifting of the blockade on the Palestinians, and the rejection of forced displacement in Gaza.”
Al-Shahari pointed out that by turning out in such massive numbers, the Yemeni people are sending a clear message to their Palestinian brothers that they remain committed to the struggle with the same strength and confidence they vowed to uphold before Allah.
“We will continue on the sacred path of Jihad until Allah’s promised victory, as stated in the Holy Quran. Today, we have come out to renew our support for Gaza and to declare that, by Allah’s will, we shall be victorious over the forces of oppression and global arrogance—America and its allies.”
He continued, “We are steadfast in our loyalty to Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi and committed to his directives. We are here today to send a clear message to America and Israel: The Yemeni people will persist in their defiance, and U.S. strikes will only increase their determination to resist all forms of unjust aggression.”
A Historic Stand Against American and Israeli Aggression
Dr. Mutahar Al-Manouri, director of the Sahaba Office in Sana’a, stated that the demonstration coincided with the anniversary of the Battle of Badr and embodied Yemen’s identity, which has always been marked by defiance and steadfastness.
“Today, our demonstration sends a powerful message that Yemen stands against American and Israeli tyranny, which seeks to commit genocide against our brothers in Palestine, Yemen, and all resistance nations in the region.”
Our message today to America and its president, the arrogant Trump, and to the U.S. administration, who spread evil is clear: the Yemeni people will neither submit nor bow to your threats. By the will of God, your downfall will begin at the hands of the great and valiant Yemeni army, which is already launching drones and missiles toward your aircraft carriers and striking your warships—forcing them, inevitably, to flee,” he declared.
To the Zionist-American Alliance: Your EntityWill Become a Thing of the Past
Participants stated: “Our message to the world today is clear: we remain steadfast with Gaza, and we will meet escalation with escalation,” they declared.
Addressing U.S. President Trump, they stated:
“You, the reckless and criminal Trump, who vowed to turn Yemen into a living hell—know that we are the ones who will turn the seas into a hellfire, your military bases into ruins, and your entities into nothing but a forgotten memory.”
They further warned, “In the coming days, you will witness an even greater response, more severe and devastating. How could it be otherwise when today we march on the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr—the Day of Criterion? That historic battle was a defining moment between us and you, between truth and falsehood, between faith and disbelief. And just as Allah granted victory to the believers then, He will grant victory again to all nations of resistance and struggle.”
The demonstrators emphasized that their mobilization was in response to divine duty and support of the oppressed in Palestine:
“We have taken to the streets today in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, in response to the call of our leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi, and in answer to the cries of our suffering brothers in Palestine—those who are hungry, besieged, and persecuted. To the Americans and Zionists, the murderers of children and women, we say: you will be defeated by the power of Allah, and by His will, we shall be victorious.”
The message was one of absolute defiance:
“We swear before the world: even if Trump and Netanyahu were to unite the forces of the entire world from east to west, it would not frighten us. Rather, it would only strengthen our resolve and determination to sink your aircraft carriers and warships.”
“We reaffirm to the world that we will never abandon our brothers in Gaza, nor will we relinquish the vital causes of our nation—no matter how much the Zionist-American forces of tyranny and arrogance attempt to impose their will.”
The rally’s participants drew strength from their faith, invoking divine promises of victory:
“You will be crushed by the power of Allah Almighty, for He has guaranteed victory to the believers, as He said in the Holy Quran: ‘And it is incumbent upon Us to grant victory to the believers.’ Allah’s promise is near.”
To their leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, they sent a message of unwavering loyalty:
“May Allah bless your face and grant you peace for choosing this righteous path—the path of defending our oppressed brothers in Palestine, the path of the prophets in standing against tyranny, and the path of defending Islam and Muslims against the forces of global arrogance.”
The crowd erupted in chants:
“Steadfast with Gaza—Escalation Met with Escalation!”
“We place our trust in Allah Almighty alone in confronting America and Israel. America is nothing but a fragile straw, not the mighty force it claims to be. O America, we march forward with unwavering faith, for victory belongs to those who stand with Allah:
‘Indeed, Allah will support those who support Him. Truly, Allah is All-Powerful, Almighty.’”
Their final message was one of unwavering resistance:
“We are resolute, standing firm with our brothers in Gaza. We will not retreat, we will not bow, and we will not be humiliated. Allah will never forsake us, for He is ‘The Compeller, The All-Powerful, The Almighty.’”
