UNRWA: No aid enters Gaza since the beginning of March

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said that the Israeli enemy has not allowed any aid into the Gaza Strip since the beginning of March, the longest period without aid since October 2023.
Sam Rose, UNRWA’s Deputy Director of Operations in Gaza, confirmed on Friday during the weekly press conference at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, that Gaza had witnessed intense shelling following the ceasefire violation.
Rose explained that many people were killed as a result of these attacks, adding that the ongoing Israeli evacuation demands had forced large-scale displacement of residents.
He revealed that service disruptions had occurred due to the shelling, stressing that it had become difficult for people to reach aid distribution centers and hospitals.
The UN official pointed out that the progress achieved during the six weeks of the ceasefire had been reversed, and that if the ceasefire is not achieved, this would mean a huge loss of life.
He stressed that the continuation of the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip means the destruction of infrastructure and property, an increased risk of infectious diseases, and tremendous psychological trauma for the two million civilians living in Gaza, including one million children.
Rose emphasized that during the six weeks of the ceasefire, UNRWA was able to bring more aid into Gaza than in the previous six months, explaining that the situation is now worse.
