Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor: “Israel Lies About Military Presence at UNRWA Health Center”
Published April 3, 2025
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said that the Israeli enemy’s bombing of a health center affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, constitutes a full-fledged mass murder, and indicated that Israeli claims of a military presence at the site are false.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor explained in a statement issued on Thursday that the targeting of the UNRWA health center—currently used as a shelter for displaced persons—was a double attack, “as the Israeli army attacked the northern and southern sides of the first floor of the center, resulting in fires and a large number of civilian deaths and injuries.”
The Euro-Med Monitor explained that its field team visited the UNRWA health center immediately after it was targeted and conducted an initial field survey of the site. It found no evidence of military activity in or around the area, a finding also confirmed by witnesses the team spoke to.
Eyewitnesses categorically denied the presence of any armed personnel or military equipment at the site.
The Euro-Med Monitor stated that the Israeli enemy’s use of highly destructive weapons amidst a large crowd of civilians, the majority of whom were children, reveals a premeditated and direct intent to commit a massacre, in complete disregard for the lives of Palestinians and to strip them of any form of safety or protection, even within UN facilities that are supposed to be protected under international law.
