UNICEF spokesperson Kazem Abu Khalaf announced the closure of approximately 21 malnutrition treatment centers in Gaza as a result of the resumption of the Israeli aggression and the issuance of evacuation orders in the affected areas.
Abu Khalaf explained in press statements on Sunday that UNICEF is awaiting the release of a report from the Food Security Classification Commission in the Gaza Strip and the presentation of the findings.
He pointed out that the enemy has continued to close the crossings with the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of aid, medical supplies, nutritional supplements, and other items for 35 days.
UNICEF said on Saturday that more than one million children in the Gaza Strip have been deprived of life-saving assistance for more than a month.
It noted that the continued denial of aid entry into Gaza constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and has dire consequences for children.
