The Zionist entity seizes 1,398 dunams in occupied Jerusalem during three months

The Jerusalem Governorate revealed today, Wednesday, that the occupying Zionist entity authorities confiscated more than 1,398 dunams of Palestinian land in the occupied city during the first three months of 2025.
The governorate explained in a statement that the Zionist enemy confiscates the lands under the pretext of road expansion, expanding existing settlements such as “Givat Binyamin,” or by annexing illegal settlement outposts and converting them into official settlements.
It added that the Zionist enemy announced the establishment of infrastructure projects serving the settlement project in the heart of Palestinian neighborhoods such as al-Joz valley, al-Ram, Kafr Aqab, Mikhmas, and Qalandia.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that the announced settlement plans, including seven new ones, reflect a clear trend toward Judaizing the city and imposing a new demographic reality through the seizure of Palestinian lands and the expulsion of its indigenous population.
The Jerusalem Governorate warned against the settlement project known as “Greater Jerusalem,” through which the occupying Israeli government seeks to annex 223 square kilometers of West Bank land to the Jerusalem Municipality. This project includes the annexation of 14 settlements within three large settlement blocs, aiming to fragment the West Bank, besiege the city of Jerusalem, and separate it from its Palestinian surroundings.
The Governorate also warned of the direct involvement of the Zionist enemy municipality for the first time in settlement projects located in Palestinian neighborhoods within the city. This demonstrates the increasing involvement of official Israeli institutions in implementing Judaization plans and changing the Arab-Palestinian character of Jerusalem.
The governorate called on the international community, including the United Nations, the European Union, and Arab and Islamic countries, to take concrete and practical steps to halt these violations, ensure the protection of Palestinian residents from forced displacement policies, and preserve the legal and historical status of Jerusalem as an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory.
