Millions rally in Sana’a, vow steadfast support for Gaza amidst US-Israeli aggression
The capital city of Sana’a on Friday witnessed a massive demonstration, with millions taking to the streets in a march titled “Standing with Gaza in the Face of the American-Israeli Escalation.” The powerful display of solidarity aimed to support Palestine and challenge what protesters termed “American aggression.”
The immense crowds declared their complete readiness to confront any escalation and the perceived “American and Zionist aggression” against both the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples, vowing to continue until victory is achieved.
The demonstrators reaffirmed their absolute mandate to the “leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdulmalik al-Houthi,” to take all necessary actions to deter “American aggression” targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, and to continue unwavering support for their “brothers in Gaza and Palestine.”
The assembled masses asserted that “American aggression,” regardless of its scale of crime and terrorism, would not deter the “people of faith and wisdom” from their continued support for the Palestinian people and their defense of the nation’s issues and sacred sites, irrespective of sacrifices and challenges.
The demonstrators lauded the “heroic operations” carried out by the armed forces against vital targets of the Zionist enemy, including aircraft carriers and American warships attacking the Yemeni people and their capabilities.
The rallying crowds chanted slogans emphasizing steadfastness, resistance to American actions/ aggression the enduring nature of their beliefs, and their unwavering support for al-Qudds and Palestine. They denounced those aligned with the “usurper” and affirmed their “popular and official position” of constant support and inevitable victory.
During the march, official spokesman of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree delivered a significant statement. He announced that the missile force had conducted a military operation targeting a military objective in the vicinity of Ben Gurion Airport in occupied Jaffa, utilizing a “Dhulfikar” ballistic missile.
Brigadier General Saree stated that for the second consecutive month, the armed forces are actively and responsibly countering the American aggression against Yemen, fulfilling their promise to meet escalation with escalation.
He reported that the missile force, the Air Force, and the Naval Forces had jointly carried out a dual military operation targeting the American aircraft carriers “Truman” and “Vinson,” along with their warships, in the Red and Arabian Seas, using a number of winged missiles and drones. He noted that this marked the first targeting of the carrier “Vinson” since its arrival in the Arabian Sea.
Brigadier General Saree also announced that air defenses successfully shot down an American MQ-9 aircraft while it was carrying out hostile actions in the airspace of Sana’a province, using a domestically produced surface-to-air missile. He said this was the fifth such downing in three weeks and the twentieth during the “Battle of the promised conquest and holy jihad” in support of Gaza.
The Armed Forces emphasized that the US military build-up and continued aggression against Yemen would only lead to further confrontations, targeting, engagement, and resistance. They asserted that Yemen’s people and leadership would only become more steadfast in their supportive stance towards the “oppressed Palestinian people.”
Brigadier General Saree stated that the enemy would only gain “disappointment, failure, and defeat” from escalating aggression against Yemen, and that the recently arrived aircraft carrier would not achieve what five previous carriers had failed to do, having been confronted, chased, and forced to leave by the armed forces.
He affirmed that “dear, free, and independent Yemen” would not back down from its support operations for the Palestinian people until the “Israeli aggression” on Gaza ceases and the blockade is lifted.
A statement issued by the march reiterated Yemen’s “honorable positions of faith, wisdom, and jihad,” stating that the Yemeni people had come out in their millions in support of the Palestinian people and in response to the “American-Zionist aggression” against their country.
The statement emphasized their unwavering stance with Gaza, relying on their faith and trust in Allah, regardless of American escalation. It declared their readiness for any form of escalation and their continued support for Palestine through military operations, public mobilization, mass demonstrations, events, financial contributions, economic boycotts, and media efforts.
The statement also asserted that American aggression against Yemen had failed to achieve any of its goals, particularly its inability to break their will and determination. It emphasized its continued response to its religious and national leadership despite ongoing bombing, highlighting the alleged successes of its armed forces against the enemy, including operations deep within “enemy territory, the denial of access to their seas for enemy ships, the failure of successive aircraft carriers, and the downing of modern “enemy” aircraft.
The statement concluded by calling on the people of the nation to join them in this direction, urging them to act in defense of themselves and their nations against the opprobrium of the enemies, warning of shame and humiliation in this world and a painful punishment in the hereafter” if they fail to do so.
The protestors’ statement prayed for the swift victory and liberation of the Palestinian people and their fighters, and for divine support and mercy for their own martyrs and wounded.
