Israeli media reported that the Israeli Security Cabinet is holding a meeting in an underground bunker as the occupation braces for a potential Iranian response following the Israeli strike on a residential building in Beirut’s Southern Suburb (Dahieh).

Earlier today, Israeli occupation forces carried out an airstrike targeting a residential building in Dahieh, again violating the so-called "ceasefire" reached between the Lebanese government and "Israel" through talks mediated by the United States.

On June 7, Israeli warplanes carried out an aggression on Beirut's Southern Suburb, targeting a residential building in the densely populated Tahwitat al-Ghadir area.

The Emergency Operations Center of the Public Health Ministry reported that the Israeli aggression killed two people and injured 20 others, including four children and four women. Meanwhile, the National News Agency (NNA) reported that the airstrike specifically targeted two apartments in the Mrjayeh–Tahwitat al-Ghadir area.

That attack took place against the backdrop of Iran's repeated threats to "Israel" not to target the Southern Suburb or the capital. After "Israel" launched its attack, Iran retaliated with strikes on "Israel" in what the IRGC called Operation Victory.

Tehran warned Tel Aviv against launching any such attacks in the future.

Earlier reports from Israeli media indicated elevated alert levels and urgent military consultations. Israeli Channel 14 reported that "Iran will launch missiles at Israel in response to the targeting of the Southern Suburbs," while Israeli Channel 15 said preparations are underway for the possibility of incoming missile attacks and a broader increase in alert status across the occupied territories.

The Israeli occupation army spokesperson stated that the Chief of Staff is carrying out continuous assessments with senior military commanders, adding that the military is preparing for "fire directed at Israel in the coming hours."

Israeli media also reported that the Home Front Command has strengthened restrictions amid concerns of further escalation.

Meanwhile, cabinet ministers told Israeli i24News that efforts to prevent the unity of fronts between Iran and Lebanon have failed.
