The aerial aggression coincided with intense and concentrated artillery shelling that targeted the city of Nabatieh, Kfar Remen, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, and Kfar Tibnit. In a related development, following an official circular issued by the Civil Defense of the Islamic Health Authority, the organization congratulated residents on the victory and their return home with heads held high, achieved through the sacrifices and blood of the martyrs and fighters. At the same time, the authority emphasized that personal safety must remain the absolute highest priority, noting that dangers do not disappear immediately with the cessation of aggression.
The authority appealed to citizens not to head to their villages until a ceasefire is officially announced and takes effect by competent authorities. It urged them to adhere to a specific set of essential safety guidelines, primary among which is confirming in advance the safety of the region and the roads leading to the affected towns and neighborhoods.
The circular stressed the importance of completely filling vehicle fuel tanks before departing, given the lack of operating gas stations in previously targeted areas, and to avoid potential traffic congestion on the return routes.
Furthermore, the authority urged citizens to pay maximum attention to foreign objects, warning them not to touch any unfamiliar or suspicious items due to the extreme danger they pose, and to report them immediately to the designated authorities. Residents were also advised to refrain from entering partially collapsed buildings before verifying their structural integrity, as they might be unfit for habitation.
Regarding indoor safety measures, the statement noted the necessity of inspecting gas and electricity connections to ensure there are no leaks or malfunctions before operating any appliances. It advised cleaning premises cautiously using protective gear such as gloves, avoiding contact with any unknown or hazardous materials, and verifying the safety of drinking and utility water—recommending the use of bottled or secure water sources in case of doubt. Parents were also instructed to continuously monitor children to prevent them from approaching rubble or foreign objects, while fostering safety awareness within the family in a simplified manner.
The Islamic Health Authority called on residents to contact emergency teams for medical assistance in the event of injuries or urgent health situations. It underscored the importance of strengthening solidarity, psychological support, and cooperation among community members to help overcome the impacts of this phase.
