Corona deaths and injuries in Yemen have started to decrease markedly: Minister of Health

Yemen’s Health Minister Taha al-Mutawakil said on Wednesday that cases of coronavirus infection and deaths in Yemen noticeably started to drop.

Al-Mutawakil affirmed that the decrease in the number of infections and deaths came as result of the efforts of medical and health cadres and providing provision of health care to patients since the start of the steps taken by the National Salivation Government to face the epidemic.

The minister stressed on the importance of strengthening the precautionary measures to face this epidemic, including wearing masks in public places and raising community awareness of ways to prevent Covid-19.

The move came during his meeting with medical cadres at the al-Thawrah Hospital Authority in Ibb to discuss ways to improve the level of medical services in public and private hospitals in the province.
