President Al-Mashat: UN concern with obligating aggression countries’ to fully lift the siege
President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat has met with Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) Ibrahim al-Hamali
In the meeting, which was attended by the Program Officer at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Khaldoun Salem, al-Mashat and al-Hamali discussed the catastrophic effects of the US blockade imposed on the Yemeni people.
President al-Mashat stressed the need to pay attention to the delivery of food aid to those who deserve it.
Al-Mashat stressed the interest in implementing projects in the areas of health, water, roads, and restoring public services, and focusing on projects that provide service to the Yemeni people in a sustainable manner and do not make them a hostage to aid for long periods.
He stressed that the United Nations is concerned, in accordance with international laws and the Stockholm Agreement, to oblige the aggression countries to fully lift the blockade and to prevent unjust restrictions and illegal American piracy on imports of food, medicine, and fuel.
