Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that understanding is a bilateral matter, stating that if the American side adheres to the memorandum of understanding (MoU), "we too will fulfill our commitments."
Pezeshkian added that Iran's approach to confronting unjustified statements and baseless threats relies on rationality and dignity coupled with a firm defense.
Yesterday, Monday, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that its current focus is centered on implementing the clauses of the memorandum of understanding, and that its primary priority is to ensure its serious execution.
Regarding the United States' commitment under Clause 10, which pertains to oil sales, Tehran indicated that Washington has issued the necessary permits, while Iran continues to monitor the implementation process of this specific clause.
Similarly, Iran is following up on the implementation of Clause 11, which relates to the release of frozen Iranian assets. A delegation of experts is scheduled to be dispatched to Doha this week to pursue this matter.
A few days ago, Pezeshkian clarified that the results of the talks with the United States depend entirely on strict adherence to the resulting commitments, warning that "out-of-context statements" do not help advance the negotiations.
This statement arrived a day after the Iranian negotiating delegation departed Switzerland following the conclusion of intensive talks with Washington. The negotiations, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, lasted for more than 18 hours, according to statements by the delegation's spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei.
