Zionist enemy forces stormed the "Qalandia" Institute, affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in occupied Al-Quds today, Tuesday, and blocked its entrances.
The Al-Quds Governorate stated in a report that enemy forces raided the UNRWA-affiliated Qalandia Institute located in the Airport Road area north of Al-Quds.
It added that the Zionist enemy forces shut down the main entrance to the institute as well as the area's primary street, firing a heavy barrage of tear gas canisters. The forces remain deployed inside and around the perimeter of the institute.
The raid follows a warning issued by the Al-Quds Governorate on June 11 regarding a Zionist enemy plan aimed at removing the UNRWA vocational training institute in Qalandia.
In a separate development on Tuesday, Zionist enemy forces closed the headquarters of the Tadamoun Charitable Association in the Adel Street area in central Nablus for a period of one year. The closure followed a raid that caused damage to the property, though the General Authority of Civil Affairs later succeeded in reopening the building housing the association.
Local sources reported that several Zionist military vehicles stormed the Sufyan Street and Adel Street areas before raiding the association's headquarters. Enemy soldiers carried out acts of vandalism inside the building that lasted for more than two hours.
The sources added that enemy soldiers were seen running wires from inside the association’s headquarters to the outside, though the exact nature of the procedures being conducted inside the building remained unclear.
Prior to withdrawing, enemy forces sealed the building containing the association's headquarters and posted a sign at its entrance claiming the association is "illegal and supports terrorism," as they described it. They also delivered a military order dictating its closure and banning entry, use, or any activity within it for one year from the date the decision was issued.
Later on, the General Authority of Civil Affairs announced that following intensive follow-ups with the competent authorities, it managed to reopen the building closed by the Zionist enemy forces. The Authority emphasized that the closure had disrupted the interests of local residents and obstructed entry and exit movement.
