Hamed meets Grande to address reasons of organizations’ failure to face Coronavirus

The director of the Presidential Republic Office, the President of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation on Sunday met the United Nations Resident Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Liz Grande.

The meeting, was attended by the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdullmohsen Tawoos, discussed the progress of humanitarian activities and programs of international organizations working in Yemen and their role in confronting the Coronavirus, addressing the reasons for the organizations’ failure to fulfill their duty to confront it.

In his part, the Humanitarian Coordinator praised the precautionary plans and the needs that the Salvation government had initiated in the context of confronting Coronavirus.

She pointed out that the relevant international organizations, especially the WHO, are keen to back the government’s plan directly in the precautionary confrontation of this virus, noting that there are difficulties facing the WHO in Jordan that constituted an obstacle to inter the aid to Yemen.
