Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health praises the role of medical personnel in facing Corona

Dr. Ali Jahhaf, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in the National Salvation Government in Sanaa, said that the cures of Corona disease in Yemen are high and exceed 80%.

He explained in his statement to al-Masirah channel, on Saturday evening, that “the medical staff is performing its duty to the fullest extent despite the suffering and the blockade”, indicating that more than 32 isolation centers operate in the face of Corona in all governorates.

He pointed out that the ministry recently allocated beds for Corona patients in all hospitals.

He also pointed out that the blockade imposed on Yemen prevents even the arrival of medical antiseptics, which is an essential substance in the face of viruses.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health criticized the role of international organizations towards the pandemic, stressing that the international organizations are far from the reality in Yemen, noting that one isolation center has 90 workers, and the United Nations says we will support only 21 workers.

Dr. Ali Jahaf confirmed that the Ministry of Health in Sana’a made an appeal to the southern governorates since the beginning of the crisis to be one hand in confronting the Coronavirus, but the Ministry has not received any response yet.
