The US movements in Yemen’s Hadramout undermine peace
The Americans are intensifying their movements in the occupied Hadramout Yemeni southern governorate, after Sana’a prevented the looting of Yemen’s oil wealth. The US is trying to find another way to resume the exporting of Yemeni oil, which shows their dirty role in foiling peace-making efforts, in addition to forbidding the Yemeni people to leverage from their own oil.
On the other hand, Sana’a affirms that it will not stand idly by against the plundering of Yemeni wealth. It also warned Washington from continuing its hostile policy and not taking these warnings seriously.
Suspicious Visits to Hadramout
A few days after the visit of the American military delegation to the occupied Hadramout governorate on the 2nd of this November, America sent its ambassador to the occupied governorate as part of its relentless quest to resume the export of oil that had stopped as a result of the warning strikes carried out by Sana’a, which aim to prevent the looting of Yemen’s wealth. The US visits confirm its great involvement in the looting of Yemen’s wealth, and its insistence on depriving the Yemeni people of their legitimate rights to use and control its own oil. Sana’a condemned the visit of the American ambassador “Stephen Fagin”, which was done by its Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein Al-Ezzi. He called on Washington to amend its policy towards Yemen and respect its rights and the sovereignty of its wealth. He considered Ambassador Fagin’s statements from inside the occupied Yemeni territories a blatant provocation to the feelings of the besieged Yemenis.
The Political Bureau of Ansar Allah also strongly condemned the visit, and considered it an aggressive activity that falls within the aggressive agenda that targets the security, stability, and unity of Yemen. The Bureau stressed that the people reject any American activity towards Yemen, whether it was declared or not. In addition, it noted that America should obey the will of the Yemeni people and their legitimate right In achieving independence away from any tutelage, in addition to stopping the aggression, lifting the siege and stopping foreign interference.
Sana’a Studying the Different Response Options
In response to the American moves, the Secretary of the Supreme Political Council, Dr. Yasser al-Huri, affirmed that Sana’a is considering strategic political and military options to confront America’s hostile policy towards Yemen, stressing that the American moves in Hadramout are failing the peace efforts and come against empowering Yemenis with their rights, and deepening their suffering. Al-Huri pointed out that the files of employees’ salaries and the total lifting of the siege on the port of Hodeidah and Sana’a airport received opposition from America and its tools.
For his part, a member of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah Ali al-Qahoum warned Washington against its continued hostile behavior towards Yemen, and said: Washington did not take Sana’a’s warnings seriously and is still continuing its hostile behavior towards Yemen with the influx of military forces and visits by intelligence and diplomatic delegations to Hadramout. He emphasized that Sana’a will not stand idly by in the face of aggression, siege, plundering of wealth and the US-British occupation. In addition, he vowed that the coming days would be full of surprises.
Warning Operation
In the face of America’s relentless efforts to resume the looting of Yemeni oil, Sana’a appears more insistent on preventing the looting of its wealth. Two days after the visit of the American ambassador to the occupied Hadramout governorate, Sana’a carried out a warning operation in the port of Qena in Shabwa governorate, in which it prevented an oil ship that was in the port from looting and smuggling oil after several warning messages were sent to the ship but with no response. This proves Sana’a’s continued protection of Yemen’s sovereign wealth and preventing any force, whatsoever, from looting this wealth, foremost of which is America.
