Presidency office inaugurates work of Code of Conduct

Quoting from the official Saba News Agency that the Presidency Office of the Republic inaugurated, on Sunday, the work of the Code of Conduct and Work Ethics in public service units.

At the inauguration, supreme political council (SPC) member Jaber al-Wahbani stressed the importance of the Code and its positive impact on serving citizens and facilitating the completion of their transactions in government institutions.

Al-Wahbani pointed out that the code of conduct is a step forward and came in accordance with the national vision of building a modern state.

He denounced the campaign launched by the enemies of the homeland against the law that strengthens religious identity, forgetting that the Holy Prophet singled out the Yemeni people with faith and wisdom.

Al-Wahbani said: “Those who are harmed by the Code either did not read it or did not understand the texts contained in it that came to serve the citizen we serve.”

The SPC member noted that the Code did not violate the Yemeni laws and constitution and it is subject to amendment and renewal to serve the citizen.

He pointed out that the launch of the Code in the Office of the Presidency of the Republic embodies the state’s keenness to work with it, and for the citizen to perceive its positive results in facilitating transactions, starting from the top of the pyramid of the administrative sector to its base.

Al-Wahbani urged all employees in the state’s administrative sector to cooperate with the citizen to complete the transactions and facilitate them.

He touched on the looting of wealth by the aggression and its mercenaries during the past years, and their recent attempts, which the armed forces resolutely confronted.

For his part, director of the office of the Presidency Ahmed Hamed expressed his hope that the Code would help make a qualitative leap as it represents a necessary ground for reform and construction and a real and effective guarantee for improving performance.

He explained that the Code was widely accepted by the Yemeni people, as a popular demand and a revolutionary achievement, which caused great concern and alarm to the enemy.

Hamed called on the director of the presidential office not to be tempted by those who promote the enemies’ campaign with the futility of the code of professional conduct.

He said: “I say to those who are drawn into the enemy campaign, read the Code, and be proud of it, for it is not embarrassing to you, but rather it is a pride and an achievement worthy of praise. It is compatible with the constitution and consistent with the faith identity of the Yemeni people, its morals and its authentic values.”

Hamed pointed out that the Code came in the interest of the employees and citizens, and that it did not contain any harm to the people.

Hamed pointed out that the misleading campaigns, prepared by traitors, skeptics and hypocrites who are the horns of aggression and advocates of falsehood and disinformation, will not reduce the national enthusiasm in completing the process of state-building, but will be a catalyst for more practical and tangible achievement on the ground according to the faith identity, away from any form of guardianship and domination of the countries of global arrogance.
