Maqbouli informs Grandi of the decision to examine expatriates

The Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development and Head of the Supreme Committee for Combating Epidemics, Dr. Hussein Makbouli, met Tuesday, the United Nations Resident Representative, Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Les Grande.

The meeting attended by the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hussein Al-Azzi and the Director of the Health Office of Amant Al-Asimah, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marwani, discussed the precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus 2019.

The meeting touched on possible scenarios taken by Yemen to confront the Corona virus and the importance of international organizations supporting it.

During the meeting, the Humanitarian Coordinator was briefed on the decision of the Supreme Committee for Epidemic Control to conduct screening for arrivals to Yemen without exception, including international missions, organizations and diplomats, and the precautionary measures contained in the decision to confront this virus, especially with regard to checking heat, quarantine or preventing entry to Yemen in particular, specially the expatriates from China, South Korea, Italy and Iran.
