The Yemeni President urges the concerned authorities to be vigilant to prevent illegal currency leaks

On Sunday, the head of the Supreme Political Council, Mr. Mahdi Al-Mashat, stressed on the need for vigilance to prevent the illegal deposition of the currency again.

This came during a meeting with the governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, Mr. Rashid Abu Lahm.

At the meeting, Al-Mashat renewed the council’s support for a policy of the Bank in its recent measures to withdraw illegal currency printed by the Saudi-exiled government to target the national economy.

The meeting discussed the results of steps taken by the bank to prevent the circulation of the illegal currency again in order to reduce its impact on the economy and citizens.
