Yemeni Official: The Hurricane Campaign in Yemen is a Message to the World that Seeks to Keep Our Country Under Siege

Quting from almasirah, the US-Saudi aggression plunged us into an unparalleled human tragedy. The Yemen Hurricane Campaign is a message to the outside world that is conspiring against us and seeking to keep our country under siege,” The Prime Minister of Sana’a, Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, said on Sunday.

“We must know the extent of the conspiracy against our people, and stand firmly in the face of the media that aims to split the internal ranks, mobilize the masses of our people to the battlefronts, maintain our internal security, and confront the major conspiracy being hatched against Yemen,” he added.

The Prime Minister stressed that the next ‘Yemen Hurricane’ in the eighth year of the US-Saudi aggression will be devastating for the countries that attacked us, conspired and killed our people.

The head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Mahdi Al-Mashat, announced the launch of the “Yemen Hurricane” campaign, stressing that the Yemeni people will not stand silent and will respond to all these crimes by all available means.

The US-Saudi-Emirati aggression has lately ramped up its airstrikes against various regions across Yemen.

The Ministry of Public Health indicated that more than 150 civilians were killed and 350 others were wounded as a result of the escalation of the recent and ongoing aggression during January, including the massacre of a prison center in Sa’adah, which killed 91 prisoners.

On Januray 21, Yahya Sare’e warned in a statement posted on his Twitter page Foreign companies in the Emirates to leave, saying “In the aftermath of the crimes committed by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemeni people, we advise foreign companies in the Emirates to leave because they have invested in an unsafe country.”

He added, “The UAE would grow more insecure as long as its rulers continue their military aggression against Yemen.”

Yemeni forces carried out retaliatory airstrikes against strategic facilities deep inside the UAE on January 17, using domestically-manufactured combat drones and ballistic missiles.

The airstrikes targeted the Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports, the Musaffah oil refinery in Abu Dhabi, and a number of important and sensitive Emirati sites and facilities.

In response to the continued escalation of aggression after the first hurricane and the perpetration of more massacres against the Yemeni people, which claimed hundreds of deaths and wounded within three days, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out the Operation Yemen Hurricane II onJanuary 24.

The operation targeted the Al Dhafra military base and other sensitive targets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai with a large number of Zulfiqar ballistic missiles. It also targeted vital targets in Dubai with a large number of drones, while the Al Sharurah, Jizan and Asir areas in the Saudi depth were targeted with ballistic missiles and drones.

Saudi Arabia launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, leading a military campaign consisting of its regional allies, including the UAE.

The kingdom estimated at the beginning of the war that it would come out victorious within just a few weeks. However, the war continued for seven years, leaving hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displacing millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
