FM Deputy calls the UAE to withdraw Socotra island immediately

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the National Salvation Government, Hussein Al-Ezzi, called on the Emirati occupation to start leaving the Socotra Archipelago as soon as possible, warning enemy ships against approaching Yemeni territorial waters.

“Socotra is in the heart of 40 million Yemenis, and the UAE must arrange evacuation and departure procedures as soon as possible,” Al-Ezzi said on Twitter.

The UAE has been occupying Socotra archipelago for years, seeking to change its identity and impose the Emirati identity on its society, and continuously looting its rare resources and wealth.

This message sent by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs is a striking warning to the UAE occupation and a clear confirmation of the inevitability of liberating Socotra and expelling the enemy from it, which indicates the entry of a new strategic phase of liberation and deterrence.

Sana’a had recently confirmed that it was on the path of imposing sovereignty over the occupied Yemeni islands and territorial waters, and protecting international shipping lanes in the region.

Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan confirmed earlier that “all options are open in this context.”

Sana’a also warned the UAE occupation against continuing its settlement moves on Mayun Island, located in Bab al-Mandab strait. The UAE seeks to turn it into a large military base to control shipping lines in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait, and to threaten the Yemeni coasts.

The coalition of aggression is trying to divide the country and control its wealth as a fait accompli, as it seeks to fragment the principles of a political solution and make them confined to certain regions of the country to ensure the preservation of its control over the occupied provinces and islands.

In a related context, Al-Ezzi warned the ships of the aggression coalition and its sponsors against approaching Yemeni waters, in another message that comes within a series of warnings sent by Sana’a in this context during the last period.

Al-Ezzi said in a tweet: Not approaching the territorial waters is a good and positive thing, referring to the repercussions that could result from violating the maritime borders of the Republic of Yemen.

The Deputy Foreign Minister revealed that an American naval vessel had approached Yemeni waters, but left quickly.
