A number of advertising outlets reported that a number of passengers were injured as a result of the fall of a glass facade at Aden International Airport, which is under the control of the Emirati-Saudi occupation because of strong winds.

They said: “The facade fell suddenly while the passengers were preparing to leave on the Yemenia flight to Jeddah,” explaining that “among the injuries were critical cases, in addition to damage to parts of the airport’s insulating roof, most of which was blown around the airport’s perimeter, causing some minor damage to cars.”

They confirmed the injury of some travelers, including at least 4 children who were taken to hospital for treatment, in addition to the postponement of two flights that were supposed to leave the capital, Aden, to Jeddah and Cairo airports.

On the other hand, a number of passengers said: “The poor installation of the facade and the insulating roof of the airport is the reason that it did not withstand the winds.”

In the context, a leader in the so-called Transitional Council of the UAE occupation said: “The costs of damage to Aden International Airport caused by the winds, yesterday, Monday, exceed $14 million and a half.
