Violent explosions rocked the US base in “Conoco” natural gas field in the countryside of Deir Ezzor governorate, eastern Syria, on Saturday evening.

Sputnik Agency reported that violent explosions hit the depths of the US “Conoco” base, resulting from an attack that was likely a missile, or a drone carrying a large amount of explosives.

Sputnik quoted its correspondent there as saying that the targeted site includes the armored division of the so-called (International Coalition), while sources confirmed that the new attack on the US army resulted in human casualties among its ranks, indicating the failure of the air defenses to protect the base to confront the attack.

The attack on the Conoco base came simultaneously with an American aggression, most likely targeting the cities of Deir Ezzor and Albukamal on the border with Iraq, eastern Syria.

Earlier, an armed group, believed to be from Arab tribes, carried out a qualitative attack, the first of its kind, targeting the US military base in the Conoco natural gas plant and field north of Deir ez-Zor governorate, eastern Syria, according to what Sputnik quoted from its correspondent there.
