Enemy media: Targeting Netanyahu’s house with a drone is a “serious security failure”

The Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” said yesterday, Saturday, that targeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s house in Caesarea, south of Haifa, with a drone is a “very serious security failure.”
Earlier on Saturday, the office of the enemy’s prime minister said that a drone was launched from Lebanon towards his private house in Caesarea, north of (occupied Palestine), and that he and his family were not present in it, while the sirens were absent from the area at the same time as the incident, according to Hebrew media.
“Maariv” said: “The security establishment (including the army, Mossad, Shin Bet, military intelligence and police) believes that this is a very serious security failure, and fortunately the prime minister was not at home, but this does not diminish the extent of the failure.”
She added: “The IDF and the Shin Bet (General Security Service) will now be asked to investigate how the drone entered the town where the prime minister’s residence is located and why it was not intercepted.”
The newspaper considered that this was a “failure of the Israeli Air Force, which opened an investigation into the incident.”
It pointed to a state of anger among the residents of Caesarea for not activating the sirens following the launch of the drone towards Netanyahu’s residence.
It quoted an eyewitness from the city as saying: “There was no prior warning. We heard a sound like a missile in the sky.”
He added: “The worshipers who left a nearby synagogue did not understand the reason for the commotion. We went out and saw the media and now we understand what happened here.”
Another said: “There was a helicopter in the air, then there was a huge explosion that was felt by all the residents of Caesarea. There were no warnings (..) It is scary. If (the drone) had hit a house with people in it, there would have been a disaster.”
