Palestinians Refuse Any American Mediation to Solve Conflict with Israeli Enemy
The Palestinian Authority says they will no longer be committed to any signed agreements with Israel or the US following Israel’s annexation pledge.
This comes as the American administration is seemingly continuing to make efforts to bring Palestinians along with the Israelis to the negotiation table. Kelly Craft, the US ambassador to the United Nations, reiterated at a press briefing Friday that the Trump peace plan is “not set in stone” and said the administration has been working to bring Israel and the Palestinians to the negotiating table to discuss it.
Analysts believe the US is always working to the benefit of Israeli enemy. The Palestinians also say they will not return to any form of negotiations unless the US retreats from its positions. Now if the Palestinians continue rejecting to be engaged in negotiations, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition deal with Benny Gantz’s Blue and White party allows him to bring the annexation issue to a vote in the Knesset.
The PA has boycotted the US administration since Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital and moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv to al-Quds. Washington has meanwhile retaliated by halting all aid to the Palestinians.
At the end of the day, Palestinians, who have rejected the US Mideast plan, insists that it unfairly favors only Israel. Thus, they demand the international community adopt a firm stance to prevent Israel’s annexation of large parts of the occupied West Bank.
