Al-Houthi: New US arms deal to Saudi Arabia is flagrant contradiction to Biden’s commitment to peace in Yemen

Member of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, criticized the announcement of the United States of America to sell a new arms equipment to Saudi Arabia, at an estimated value of 600 million dollars.

Al-Houthi said on Twitter on Friday: “The new US arms deal, after being approved, is a flagrant contradiction between (Biden)’s commitment to peace in Yemen and support for aggression.”

He stressed that this deal is evidence of the lack of seriousness and credibility of “Biden administration in stopping its aggression with its allies on Yemen, pointing out that the deal means continuing to starve the people and criminalize it.

On Thursday, the US State Department announced that its country had agreed to sell air-to-air missiles to Saudi Arabia, in the latest military deal between the two parties since Biden’s election as US President.
