Major General Al-Hakim meets military advisor of UN Special Representative to Yemen

The head of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Authority, Major General Abdullah Yahya Al-Hakim, met today in Sana’a, the military advisor of the UN Special Representative to Yemen, General Anthony Hayward.

The meeting, which was attended by the Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources, Major General Ali Muhammad Al-Kahlani, and the Director of the Office of the UN Special Representative for Yemen, Roxanne Bazarjan, discussed issues and topics related to the ceasefire and ways to establish peace.

In the meeting, Major General Al-Hakim affirmed the keenness of the supreme revolutionary, political and military leadership to reach a just and honorable peace that preserves Yemen’s unity, independence, dignity and dignity.

He explained that the other party is obstructing the process of establishing peace and the steps to implement it and achieve it in reality, indicating that the hidden arrangements of the other party in the political and diplomatic fields, the siege, starvation, and the new positions are clear and carefully monitored.

He said, “As much as we are ready for peace, we are also ready for the worst possibilities, and the mercenaries have taken advantage of the armistice and are clearly rearranging their arrangements on the eastern and southern fronts.”

Major General al-Hakim stressed the importance of obliging the other party to remove the chaos it created in the coastal region, Aden and the south in general. He reaffirmed the need to strengthen confidence in the ceasefire by the other side, open roads and other humanitarian files, and release prisoners all for all.

For his part, Hayward referred to working to achieve peace and striving to find a solution and a cease-fire, stressing the continuation of work until reaching the right path to solve the problems related to the success of the peace process.

He praised the progress made in reaching the release of the prisoners, pointing out that there are upcoming meetings to release the rest.
