Al-Murtadha Urges UN Action on Prisoner Agreement Implementation

Abdulqader Al-Murtadha, the head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, met with the newly appointed Director of the Office of the United Nations Representative, Mohamed Elghannam, to discuss prisoners’ issues and the challenges faced in implementing previous agreements.

During the meeting, Al-Murtadha reaffirmed full readiness to implement the latest agreement signed by all parties under the UN’s sponsorship last year.

He stressed the United Nations’ need to exert all available pressure on any party obstructing the implementation of this binding agreement.
