Cancellation of the humanitarian Medical flights out from Sana’a

The medical flight out form Sanaa international airport to transport dozens of the Yemeni patients for treatment abroad was canceled on Friday for unknown reasons.

Sanaa airport’s Director Khaled al-Shaief affirmed that the canceled flight was expected to depart Sanaa airport today carrying 23 patients and 25 companions.

Al-Shaief confirmed in a statement that the airport is ready to receive flights for 24 hours.

On Monday, the first medical flights carrying patients started to launch from Sanaa airport to Amman and Cairo, after closure for mostly five years.

The Saudi-led aggression has been imposing the strict siege on Yemen, especially Sanaa international airport since 2016, which resulted in the death of hundreds of Yemeni patients and exacerbated the suffering of the Yemeni people.
